After six months of exclusively breastfeeding your child with ONLY breast milk, there arises the need to complement it
with family foods.
Breast milk sufficiently meets the nutrient
requirements of a child for the first six (6) months of life but these
requirements more than double after the sixth month. Hence, the need to adopt complementary
feeding.
Complementary Feeding as the name suggest simply means complementing breast milk feeding with another kind of food (which is just family foods; really nothing extraordinary).

Give your child food/Water EXACTLY on his/her 6th Month Birthday.

You can start out with liquid foods as you
introduce him/her to family foods but REMEMBER
TO CONTINUE BREASTFEEDING TILL HE/SHE IS 2 year old.
